How Momokino Said Goodbye to WhatsApp Chaos (and Hello to TreeAMS Clarity!)

Meet Momokino

Founded in 2018, Momokino has been making waves in Indonesia’s food scene with their deliciously modern take on Japanese snacks. With several outlets up and running, but behind the scenes, things were getting… a little messy. The team was managing operations through WhatsApp. Yes, that meant clock-ins, task lists, and everything in between lived in long chat threads. You can probably imagine how that went. They needed something better. So they turned to TreeAMS!  

The Struggle Was Real

As they expanded, it got harder and harder to keep tabs on the basics, like who actually showed up for work and whether daily checklists were being completed.
 

What wasn’t working:

• Team members were clocking in through WhatsApp, but it was hard to verify whether they were really at the outlet.
• There were even cases where someone claimed they worked a shift, only for the manager to later find out (after scrolling through old chats) that… they hadn’t.
• Checklists? Also on WhatsApp. Overflowing chats made it nearly impossible to compare past performance or track tasks over time.

It wasn’t that the system was broken, it had just outgrown WhatsApp.  

The Switch to TreeAMS

Momokino rolled out TreeAMS using two key modules: Team and Checklist.
With those two modules, things started clicking fast!!!  

Here’s what changed:

Team Module

• Staff now clock in/out through the TreeAMS app, complete with geolocation.
• No more guessing! Managers instantly know who’s at the outlet (and who isn’t).
• Attendance reports are generated automatically. No more digging through chats.

Checklist Module

• Daily and weekly tasks are now completed in TreeAMS with simple, tappable checklists.
• Managers can see progress at a glance, compare across outlets, and spot patterns easily.
• Everything’s tracked. Everything is clear.

No more “Did we clean the fryer yesterday?” moments.
