Why Chat and
Collaboration Tools Can’t
Run Multi-Outlet Operations

Your existing tools help teams communicate and collaborate, but multi-outlet execution still requires manual work across tasks, audits, training, and performance. TreeAMS connects your tools and operational data into one view, from network performance down to individual tasks.

Comms Tools

Does This Sound Like Your Business?

If you identify with any of these, adding another tool won’t solve the problem.

You need a platform that connects the tools you already use and, where possible, reduces the number of tools in your stack, making data flow more efficiently.

See how it works
01

Too much time on merging data

Your operations team spends more time merging data from separate tools, like Google Sheets or Airtable than coaching outlet managers.

02

Workflows need technical setup

Every new form, audit, or checklist requires your tech team to build the data structure behind it (outlets, roles, shift, escalation, scoring).

03

New employees struggling to find what they need

It can take weeks for new employees to figure out which chat, document, or template to use for which task.

04

Your data isn’t consistent

Information entered differently across spreadsheets makes it harder to understand your operations.

05

Work happens in chat

Teams turn to WhatsApp, Viber, or LINE when formal workflows become too complicated.

06

Processes leave with people

When a senior operator leaves, they take the workflow with them because operational execution was built around how they preferred to work.

07

Consistency is hard to measure

Answering how consistent execution is across outlets still requires a physical audit and spreadsheet.

Collaboration Tools vs. an Operational
Command System: What’s the Difference?

Collaboration tools let you design any workflow you want.
That’s the strength, and at scale, the problem.

COLLABORATION TOOL

You built the workflow yourself

✓

Works well with a few outlets, where your team can easily access, remember, and keep track of what needs to be executed and checked.

!

At 20+ outlets, the process itself becomes a bottleneck.

!

Every new audit needs to be assigned, executed, and followed up, with corrective actions maintained by your team and tracked in spreadsheets.

OPERATIONAL COMMAND SYSTEM

The operating logic is already built in

It already understands:

Outlets Shifts Roles SOP Versions Franchisor/Franchisee Training Assessment Escalation Chains Audit Scoring Multi-Outlet Revenue

Operate, Connect and Perform: Three Capabilities in One Operations Platform

Operate

Operate

Purpose-built modules for multi-outlet operations. You bring your audits, SOPs, and training content. The modules already understand how a multi-outlet business works.

Task Management Daily Checklist Audits & Compliance Staff Training SOP Library Issue Tracking Staff Management Stock & Restock Revenue & Royalty Tracking Internal Messaging
Connect

Connect

Native integrations, so audit scores, training and checklist data sit next to sales, cost, stock, and equipment data.

POS ERP IoT HR Accounting
Perform

Perform

Connects signals from OPERATE and CONNECT to show patterns and root causes. Like:

The training gap that came before a sales drop
The audit dip that predicted a spike in complaints
The top outlets whose results depend on one manager

This is when operational data becomes business decisions.

Most Tools Cover One Layer,
TreeAMS Covers All Three

Having identified the gaps in multi-outlet operations, many customers using multiple tools have started consolidating their operational data and workflows on TreeAMS.

This can help reduce costs, while others may choose to use TreeAMS for multi-outlet management and keep specific tools their teams are already comfortable with. Either way, TreeAMS handles the core aspects of multi-outlet operations it was built for; bringing operational data, workflows, and performance together in one place.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. TreeAMS is designed to sit above your collaboration suite, not replace it. Most of our customers keep Lark, Slack, or Teams for chat, video meetings, and general documents, and use TreeAMS for daily execution, audits, training, SOPs, issue tracking, and multi-outlet performance. Your team keeps talking where they already talk. Your business runs on TreeAMS.

Lark Base and Airtable are generic no-code databases. They give you an empty canvas and ask you to design the operational logic yourself — what an outlet is, how roles work, how audits are scored, how escalations flow, how SOPs are versioned, how training is certified. TreeAMS is purpose-built for multi-outlet operations. The modules already understand all of that. You configure them to your brand and bring your own audit content, SOPs, and training materials — but you're never designing a database schema or building workflow logic.

No. TreeAMS is a system, not a content library. Your brand's audits, SOPs, and training programs are yours — we don't supply them because your standards are what make you distinctive. What we do supply is the purpose-built modules that hold, version, distribute, score, and correlate that content across every outlet. Onboarding usually includes migrating your existing content into the right modules.

TreeAMS has native integrations across POS (including CorePOS, Lightspeed, Kounta, Xilnex, Storehub, Raptor, and other regional systems), ERP (including SAP and Oracle), IoT devices, HR platforms, and accounting systems. If you're already running one of the common regional stacks, integrations are usually live within the first 60–90 days.

Most multi-outlet brands are live on TreeAMS's Operate layer within 2–4 weeks. Connect layer integrations (POS, ERP, IoT, HR, accounting) typically complete within 60–90 days depending on the customer's existing stack. Perform layer intelligence starts surfacing meaningful patterns once you have around 90 days of operational and integrated data flowing.

You don't lose them. Our onboarding team maps your existing Lark Base workflows against TreeAMS's modules and migrates the data. Where TreeAMS's structure is stronger (audits, training, SOP version control, revenue tracking, cross-signal intelligence), we move you across. Where you've built something specific to your brand, we configure TreeAMS to match. None of the workflows you have invested in Lark is wasted. What you gain is the ability to track for workflow completion automatically over time.

Yes. TreeAMS runs as a Progressive Web App. TreeAMS works on any modern browser on any phone, tablet, or laptop. No app-store download required. Can be added to the home screen like a native app.

F&B chains (Kopitiam, Tapa King, Long John Silver's, Tony Roma's, Manhattan Fish Market, Old Town White Coffee, iSteaks), retail networks, fitness franchises (Spartans Boxing Club), education centres (Seriously Addictive Mathematics), and multi-brand groups. Typically brands running 6+ outlets, scaling to hundreds.
